This is the house at Hodslavice #1 which was the childhood home of
the famous Frantisek Palacky (1798). It now houses a museum in his
honor. He is known a the father of the modern Czech nation.
Read more about him on my family history website at:
http://kostohryz.tripod.com/genealogy/history.html I am related to Palacky through my grandfather, Ondrej Rydel's (1847) line. Frantisek Palacky was my grandfathers 1st cousin twice removed. This makes Palacky my1st cousin four times removed. I am also related to Palcky through a separate line, that of my grandmother, Rosina Barton (1854). Records also show that this home was the place of death of my 4th great-grandmother, Rosina Hromadka (1756) who was married to Josephus Palacky (1751). She died there in 1825. |

My records show that Mariana Adam (1799) was born on this site, Hodslavice #65. She was the wife of my 2nd great-grandfather, Josef Riedel (1783). |
